Well dear I must first tell you the sad news that our dear Mother passed away the 2 of Nov and was buried the 9 of Nov. It was a loss for us all but we must not wish her back now she is free of pain and at rest but I am glad as I was home and saw her when she was well but I did not know it would be the last time.
I must first begin by thanking you for that nice hankerchief. I love and treasure anything from other countries. I was glad you liked the tatty I will make some more for you if you would like it.

ACCURACY NOTE: All letters are transcribed as written. Spelling & grammar mistakes, missing punctuation, run on sentences and such are left true to the original author's penmanship. However, in some cases, I do add periods and paragraph breaks (usually at the page turn) to make them easier to read. And yes, sometimes I make a few errors when I have trouble reading someone's writing.
